Well respected organisation in North Yorkshire has a vacancy for a Senior Agricultural Claims Handler. The role will involve dealing with agricultural motor fleet, farm combined, equine, travel & PA and garden centre claims which are allocated, ensuring that company policy, procedure and regulatory requirements are adhered to at all times. Dealing with third parties, brokers, adjusters and legal representatives on a daily basis, handling claims from cradle to grave. Working as part of a team of 11 assisting in providing an effective and efficient claims service to customers and working within own personal licence levels. Efficiently handling all claims which are part of the job holder's file allocation. Refer claims which fall outside of personal authority levels to higher authorities. Gather and process information, as directed, to support the effective assessment of more complex cases. Assisting in the training of new or inexperienced staff in the use of company systems and processes. Maintaining and developing personal knowledge and skills through continued professional development as well as ongoing at desk training and ensuring that this is recorded in with Training and Competence requirements. Conducting the business of the company at all times in a courteous and efficient manner. Will be responsible for adhering to all the group's procedures and policies in relation to the identification and management of potential conflicts of interest and for the fair treatment of customers and ensuring they follow the systems and controls operating to ensure that this is the case. Undertaking any other task as may be reasonably required by the company. Prospective applicants must hold relevant industry experience as will become an internal reference point for the company. Applications will be considered from candidates with household, property and/or commercial claims experience.
